Uncle Jerry's Closet
Uncle Jerry's Closet at RCM Ministries has a mission to give to the homeless living on the streets of Camden, New Jersey, and surrounding areas as well as minister to people spreading the word of Jesus Christ.
Uncle Jerry was born with severe disabilities, both cognitive developmental and physical. Uncle Jerry’s parents were told he wouldn't live past 12 years old. He didn't start walking and talking until 8 years old. Uncle Jerry superseded every one's expectation. At 70 years old, 4 feet and 8 inches tall, Uncle Jerry has made an impact on everyone he meets. He has never met a person he didn't like. Uncle Jerry was put into a group home after his Mother passed away to learn life skills. Although, the life skills he learned helped in life, it did not help with his speech, mental and physical impairments. Uncle Jerry is constantly stared at and made fun of but it hasn't stopped the smile on his face and the love he has for the Lord and his Pastor and First Lady. Helping the homeless has made him so happy and he loves that he's doing something to impact others in a positive way!
Serving the homeless should be every humans ultimate goal to give back to the needy. Giving and helping others has done wonders for Uncle Jerry's self esteem; every time he fills a bag for the homeless, he beams with pride. Help us continue his passionate service by clicking on the link below.
